Cinematic Test
This is an animation and particle test for my character. I animated, rigged, and textured my character in Blender and used Niagara systems for the particle effects for her magic.
Gameplay Animation Test
This is an animation and gameplay test for the movement of my character in the overworld. I animated, rigged, and textured my character in Blender. Then, I transferred her rig and animations to be used in Unreal Engine to create an animation blueprint for gameplay.
Processes and Concepts
These images and videos are the initial concepts for the story and process of development for the project.
Character Process
For the main characters of this project, I began development by designing character sheets and concepts of two adventurers. I knew that I wanted to create a duo of friends that were different from one another, where the girl was the protagonist and her companion was a friend she met along her journey.

I also wanted to develop enemies to inhabit the world. I wanted the enemy to be intimidating but silly, and also have traits that would be a part of their adaption to the habitat. In this case, the bird-like enemies use human clothing as a source for their flight.

With the character fully conceptualized, I began modeling and rigging the protagonist in Blender. I separated the rig of her skirt from the rig of her body in order to have more control during animation.

Environment Process
For the main location of this project, I created concepts for an abandoned city that added to the mystery of the story.

Afterwards, I created a storyboard to better conceptualize the environment, the enemies they would have to fight, and the main protagonist herself.
Once I was satisfied with the layout of the environment, its design, and the shots that I wanted in the project, I began developing the environment using the Quixel Bridge Megascan library in Unreal Engine. I created an auto-material to make a diverse landscape of road, grasses, and cliffs, and modified materials to create rust and dirt so the environment looked more abandoned. The final environment can also be seen in this link.
